Oba Ogunye’s 10th Coronation Anniversary Promises To Be Memorable, Says Rowaiye
As His Royal Highness, Oba Aderemi Adewale Ogunye (JP), the Abijaparako of Japara, Ijebu Igbo commemorates ten years on the throne of his forefathers, chairman of the anniversary committee, Otunba Dr. Babatunde Rowaiye, JP has pledged a memorable and rich event.
Row Radio reports that, Rowaiye, who is also the Maiyegun of Ijebu-Igbo said the central working committee constituted by the Kabiyesi Ogunye would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the task and mandate given them is well executed.
In a statement made available to Row Radio by the Abijaparako in council, members of the committee include Mr Dotun Fasanya, Hon. Mrs Durojaiye Ajibade Musari, Otunba (Aare) Yinka Olanrewaju, Chief Temitayo Rowaiye, Otun Jagunmolu Babatunde Ganiyu and Otunba Jide Fowode.
The statement further informs that details of the coronation anniversary, scheduled to hold from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th May, 2026 would be communicated soon.
According to Otunba Odo Sigboro Japara, Dr Rowaiye, the anniversary would promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Japara, and Ijebu Igbo in general, showcase developmental milestones recorded so far and strengthen bonds among indigenes at home and in the diaspora.
